Gems by Giovanna is a jewelry line that operates out of Dallas and is locally based. It is a woman-run business that has been around since 2017 and specializes in handmade jewelry using the finest crystals and mounts that ensure that the stone will not come loose. Giovanna is the name of the woman behind the line. I recall wearing sparkly jewelry during college and started wearing it again, then decided to design my own. I was after the sparkle of rhinestones and wanted jewelry in which the stone wouldn’t come loose. An associate asked me if I was a designer, and that is when I decided to branch out. I don’t have fancy training, just a passion for jewelry that sparkles and lasts for years, as well as the belief that a single piece of jewelry can add oomph to an outfit, whether it is a simple white blouse or a silk dress for a night out. Whether you need a pair of earrings to add to a business suit, a necklace to liven up a blouse for a night out with the girls, a splurge purchase to celebrate or are just looking for a token for that special lady, my line is for you.
